Sheirbheáil George Carew, 1ú Iarla Totnes (29 Bealtaine 1555 - 27 Márta 1629) faoin mBanríon Eilís I le linn Athchoncas na hÉireann agus ceapadh é leis an teideal 'Uachtarán na Mumhan'. Bhí sé ina shaineolaí ar an araltas, agus ina údar ar Carew's Scroll of Arms 1588, Collected from Churches in Devonshire etc., with Additions from Joseph Holland's Collection of Arms 1579.[1][2]

Tháinig George i gcomharbacht ar a dheartháir níos sine, Sir Peter Carew, a maraíodh in Éirinn in 1580, agus fágadh suíochán an teaghlaigh, in Upton Hellions, in aice le Crediton, Devon, le hoidhreacht aige, a dhíol sé ina dhiaidh sin le ball den teaghlach Young.
