Is fothrach de túrtheach meánaoise é Tigh na Coille i bparóiste Chúil Bheannchair, i mBarúntacht Phort na hInse, Contae Laoise, Éire.

Tugann roinnt foinsí le tuiscint go mbaineann an túrtheach ceithre stór ó lár an 15ú haois agus gur thóg Eoin Carragh Mac Dónaill é, ar shuíomh chaisleáin níos luaithe.[1] Dátaíonn foinsí eile an struchtúr go dtí an 16ú haois, ag tabhairt faoi deara go bhféadfadh sé a bheith faoi úinéireacht mhuintir Uí Chonchúir sular tháinig sé ina shuíochán ag Clann Dhónaill.[2][3] Bhí baint aige le teaghlach Mhic Dhónaill ar feadh tamaill, agus ba é an mac Dónaill deiridh a bhí i seilbh Tigh na Coille ná Séamus Mac Dónaill, ónar gabhadh an láthair tar éis dó a bheith ina ról in Éirí Amach na hÉireann 1641.[2] Chuaigh an túrtheach in olcas ina dhiaidh sin, agus rinneadh roinnt oibreacha struchtúracha chun an fothrach a chosaint sa 19ú haois.[2]

Tógadh an túrtheach d'aolchloch thar cheithre stór, le toisí suas le 10 méadar faoi 11.8 méadar.[3]

Bhí figiúr síle na gcíoch snoite ar dtús ar ursain fuinneoige aolchloiche ar an dara hurlár an fhoirgnimh; baineadh é sna céadta bliain ina dhiaidh sin.[4]
