English: Landshut (here at Manchester airport in 1975), the very Lufthansa-aircraft hijacked to Mogadishu on 13th October 1977 as Flight LH 181 from Palma de Mallorca to Frankfurt / Main. Later stormed by GSG 9. All 86 passengers and four crew members were rescued. Three of the four terrorists were killed during the storming.
Deutsch: Die Landshut (hier 1975 am Flughafen Manchester), diejenige Maschine der Lufthansa, die am 13. Oktober 1977 während des von Palma de Mallorca (Spanien) nach Frankfurt am Main führenden Fluges LH 181 zunächst nach Rom und schließlich bis in die somalische Hauptstadt Mogadischu entführt wurde. Dort wurde sie in den frühen Morgenstunden des 18. Oktober von der deutschen Antiterroreinheit GSG 9 gestürmt. Alle 86 Passagiere und die vier verbliebenen Besatzungsmitglieder wurden befreit. Drei der vier Terroristen wurden bei der Erstürmung erschossen.
