Kilkee in Co. Clare rather than Spancil Hill, but lots of asses/donkeys on display! A favourite holiday resort for people from Limerick City and others, it has a beautiful crescent beach with sparkling blue waters and pleasant walks. In this shot it seems as if there is a market or fair in operation - or perhaps it is the donkey rides getting ready for the season?

The community's general feeling is that it's the latter, and (based on the buildings visible and not visible) a view of the tourist season perhaps in the 1880s....
