Русский: Карта 1825 года Великого княжества Финляндского входит в "Географический атлас Российской империи, царства Польского и великого княжества Финляндского", в котором собраны 61 карта Российской империи. Атлас был составлен и выгравирован полковником В. П. Пядышевым. Атлас является свидетельством того, насколько тщательно и подробно составляли карты русские военные картографы первой четвертиXIX века. На карте показаны крупнейшие города (пять типов в зависимости от размера), крепости, цитадели, почтовые дворы и станции, дороги (четыре типа), границы провинций и районов. Расстояния указаны в верстах – верста являлась русской единицей измерения длины, равной 1,0668 км, которая к настоящему времени вышла из употребления. Условные обозначения и географические названия приведены на русском и шведском языках. Территория, изображенная на карте, приблизительно соответствует территории современной Финляндии. Финляндия входила в состав Швеции до 1809 года, когда она стала Великим княжеством в составе Российской империи. В 1917 году она провозгласила свою независимость от России.
Français : Cette carte de 1825 du Grand-Duché de Finlande provient d'un plus vaste ouvrage, l'atlas géographique de l'Empire russe, du Royaume de Pologne, et du Grand-Duché de Finlande (Geograficheskii atlas Rossiiskoi imperii, tsarstva Pol'skogo i Velikogo kniazhestva Finliandskogo), contenant 61 cartes de l'Empire russe. Compilée et gravée par le colonel V. P. Piadyshev, elle reflète la cartographie détaillée effectuée par les cartographes militaires russes au cours du premier quart du 19ème siècle La carte indique les centres urbains (six gradations selon la taille), les auberges, les postes, les routes (quatre types), les frontières des provinces et districts, et les bureaux de douane. English: This 1825 map of the Grand Duchy of Finland is from a larger work, Geographical atlas of the Russian Empire, the Kingdom of Poland, and the Grand Duchy of Finland (Geograficheskii atlas Rossiiskoi imperii, tsarstva Pol'skogo i velikogo kniazhestva Finliandskogo), containing 61 maps of the Russian Empire. Compiled and engraved by Colonel V. P. Piadyshev, it reflects the detailed mapping carried out by Russian military cartographers in the first quarter of the 19th century. The map shows population centers (five gradations by size), fortresses, redoubts, postal courtyards and stations, roads (four types), and provincial and district borders. Distances are shown in versts, a Russian measure, now no longer used, equal to 1.0668 kilometers. Legends and place names are in Russian and Swedish. The territory depicted on the map roughly corresponds to that of present-day Finland. Finland was part of Sweden until 1809, when it became a Grand Duchy within the Russian Empire. In 1917 it declared its independence from Russia.
