English: Roman copper alloy votive axe, 29mm long, 23mm wide and 2mm thick. The object is in good condition and weighs 2.58grams. The object consists of a rectangular sectioned shaft which is decorated on one side with transverse incised lines. The axe head is sub rectangular in form and curves downwards, so that it has a point to its lower outer edge. It is decorated on both sides, one side holds a wheel like motif on a 'stand'. The other side (which also has the decoration on the shaft) holds a bow like motif consisiting of a semi circle containing a series of incised lines and with spiral like terminals at its two corners.

There are only two similar axes on the database, BUC-321F77 is of exactly the same form, but is is not decorated.
